A ghost is the spirit of a deceased person who remains on earth through unfinished business (including revenge) or an unwillingness to move on (such as deceased serial killers who wish to continue their work). They have the ability to manipulate electronic equiment to communicate via EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenom) and can cause energy fluctuations which can be identified with an EMF (Electromagnetic Field) meter. Wormwood is often associated with the dead who are not at rest and often grows around a spirits grave. Lore tells us that wormwood will keep the spirit at bay but only temporaily and the plant must continue to grow through a primary source to keep working. Spirits can be contacted through a seance or by using a spirit board (commonly known as a Ouiji board). The more powerful spirits, commonly known as Poltergeists which are spirits that are powerful enough to move things, may leave traces of ectoplasm.
